Jillian and Steven doing some traveling (not in D.C.).

Transportation:

For guests coming from the Northeast corridor: The best and most comfortable way to get to Washington, D.C. is to take an Amtrak train to Union Station, which is very close to both the venue and many of the hotels we've blocked. As a more affordable alternative, a number of bus companies, including MegaBus and Bolt Bus, also offer routes from various spots on the East Coast to Union Station.

For guests traveling by plane:  The closest airport to the festivities is Washington Reagan National Airport. The Washington metro area is also served by Dulles International Airport, which is about a 45 minute drive (traffic permitting) to the venue.  In addition, guests can fly into Baltimore Washington International Airport, which is about a 40 minute drive from the venue. Guests flying into BWI can also take a MARC train (Maryland's commuter train service) or Amtrak from BWI to Union Station.

For getting around while you're in town:  If you're not driving a car to D.C., you can easily sightsee and travel to all of the wedding events via Metro, Uber, Lyft, and traditional taxi.

Hotels:

We've blocked a number of rooms at hotels across the city. Either use the links below or call and mention the Berman-Hoffer wedding to get the wedding block rate.

Hyatt Regency, Capitol Hill:  This hotel is close to Union Station (which also has it's own Metro stop), the Capitol, and other D.C. attractions. It's a great option if you want to do some sightseeing while in D.C. and it's about a 10 minute drive to the wedding venue. The cutoff date to reserve a room here as part of the wedding block is December 1, 2017. Click here to learn more and reserve a room.

Phoenix Park Hotel:  This is a boutique hotel that offers the same proximity to D.C. attractions as the Hyatt Regency. It's slightly more upscale than the other hotels on our list. The cutoff date to reserve a room here as part of the wedding block is November 29, 2017. Click here to learn more and reserve a room.

Marriott Courtyard D.C./U.S. Capitol:  This hotel is slightly farther away from museums and other attractions, but is closer to the venue. It's also steps away from the Metro, so it's still relatively easy to take in the sights staying here. The cutoff date to reserve a room here as part of the wedding block is December 8, 2017. Click here to learn more and reserve a room.

Hampton Inn NoMa:  This hotel is closest to the wedding venue and a good option for anyone getting in just before the wedding and leaving early the next day. The cutoff date to reserve a room here as part of the wedding block is October 19, 2017. Click here to learn more and reserve a room

Holiday Inn Express Washington, D.C./North Silver Spring:  This hotel is the best option for our shomer shabbos guests, as it's within walking distance of two shuls, Orthodox synagogue, Ohev Sholom, and Conservative synagogue, Tifereth Israel. The cutoff date to reserve a room here as part of the wedding block is December 1, 2017.  Call 301-565-3444 to learn more and reserve a room.

About the venue:

Dock 5, the wedding venue, is part of Union Market, a food hall featuring a rotating cast of eclectic vendors from across D.C. It opened a few years ago in D.C.'s wholesaler district. Many of the wholesalers remain nearby, giving the area an industrial vibe.
